Happy 31rst Anniversary

I planned our anniversary celebration this year. Jack always works so hard to make it a memorable moment, so I offered to take responsibility for this year. We went camping at Cape Lookout, which turned out to be soooo fun and wonderful. Right down to the thieving little raccoons who stole out hotdog buns!

On the Brighter side!

We are so thrilled to welcome our third grandbaby Jordan Elizabeth born October 18, at 4:05 am! She was 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 21 1/4 inches long. She is so precious. Momma and baby are doing fine. They sent us pictures via the cell phone and I spoke with mommy this morning. Everyone is very excited!

Falls City stomped by Buckaroos!

This was a big team, St. Paul Buckaroos, in every respect. Our quarterback was literally picked up by these guys and layed on the ground! On several ocassions, they just grabbed his mask and pulled him to the ground. He was frustrated to say the least. The fact that he was short hid a lot from the referee. At least on some ocassions, it was spotted and we gained a few yards. It was a tough game right out of the gate, but the fans hung on to hope. The Mountaineers played hard to the end. We were proud of their efforts. The final score was 54-8 thanks to Jeremy, number 26,who received a pass for a touchdown! Yeah Jeremy! We are so proud of you all!!

Homecoming Court

Jackson was voted in for Homecoming Court this year!
As the student body cheered, it was evident that Jackson and Jeremy were close in the student body's opinion, but Jeremy is a senior and it seemed fitting that he should receive the crown. Jeremy is one of Jackson's good friends and I believe everyone was pleased with the choice, including Jackson!
Yeah Jeremy!

Homecoming 34-30 Mountaineers!

Adoring fans!

What a guy!

Jackson #47 in the starting line up!Jackson was also on the homecoming court, but due to the importance of the game the festivities for the players would have to wait until Saturday night dance. In the meantime, the coach had them focus on the game.

It didn't look good for the Mountaineers in the first quarter and into the second, but they came back with fire in the second half. After Thomas, number 37, was injured on the field the Mountaineers took the game by storm! Winning 34-30!

Mountaineers thanking the Wolverines for a good game! We will have some better pictures up by Monday. So check back to see more of the game. Also, if the Mountaineers win next week's game, they will go to state! They have 4 wins now and 2 losses. Go Mountaineers!!

They WON again!

Jackson is conferring with the coach before the next play. Then they sent him in. They have 3 wins and 2 losses. Go Mountaineers! What an exciting game! They won 34-8! Jackson was a starter and played a lot of the game. Jackson played offensive all night, and he had to block this really huge guy, but he still managed to pushed him off.

It was so nice to have Emily and Tyler join us for the birthday game. Thank you guys for coming. It was very meaningful. Happy Birthday Jackson!

Jackson's Birthday

Jackson was so surprised tonight! Tomorrow is his 17th birthday and I've been planning it out for about a week. So yesterday I delivered his cake, and earlier this evening I delivered the balloons and such.
Jackson had no clue.
We arrived a few minutes late, and had dinner with the team. After awhile the coach called for everyone's attention. After a short talk he had the team sing happy birthday as loud and off key as they could to Jackson. Here's Jackson enduring the moment.

Jackson had fun just kickin with his buddy Shane, and the whole crowd.

Football

Jackson is a junior this year and he decided to play football as a Mountaineer, and he is number 47! He had his first home game this past Friday, so Jack and I and a few friends turned out to watch. It was so exciting, and our team won! Jackson is as tenancious as a bull dog. The Bluejay's caught a kick off and headed for their goal, but Jackson took off after him and caught him! The runner tried to shake him off, but Jackson hung on, even after he was knocked to the ground, he didn't let go. He took that guy down hard, and the crowd CHEERED!
Jackson is the one in the block position.
