Football

Jackson is a junior this year and he decided to play football as a Mountaineer, and he is number 47! He had his first home game this past Friday, so Jack and I and a few friends turned out to watch. It was so exciting, and our team won! Jackson is as tenancious as a bull dog. The Bluejay's caught a kick off and headed for their goal, but Jackson took off after him and caught him! The runner tried to shake him off, but Jackson hung on, even after he was knocked to the ground, he didn't let go. He took that guy down hard, and the crowd CHEERED!
Jackson is the one in the block position.

More Chicken News Updates

These are the variety of eggs we collect. The white one is a regular size egg. The little brown one is Henny Penny's and the green is Snow White. We are so proud of them.

This is "Clem". He is getting very big, but definitely doesn't lay eggs!

Chickens at 6 Months

My Chickens will be 6 months in two days, and are now laying lots of cute tiny little eggs. This chicken is Henny Penny and she lays brown eggs.

Here is Snow White! She lays itty bitty green eggs.

Almost 3 Months

Here is beautiful Snow White.
Henny penny is a different breed for sure, but we love her.

Well here is our rooster Clementine, now know as Clem!

This was Clementine, and she got her name because I thought she had unusually big feet. Guess what? Clemetine crowed today! I am working on uploading a recent pic. :)

7.5 Weeks

See the white chick on the right? That's Little Snow White who isn't very little anymore, but I love her.

The chicks will be 8 weeks on Wednesday. They have all their feathers and they are growing amazingly fast. We have been feeding them fresh corn from the garden and they love it.

6 Weeks

The chicks are getting so big, but then so is the sweetest little boy in the world. Little Mathew was out visiting the farm. He loves the chickens or I should say he loves chasing the babies. He is so cute whenever I ask him if he wants to see the buck, bucks, he says erererrrrr.

The Big Chicks

I thought it was time for you to meet our other chickens. The ones we got from my best friend Rita.
This is Bonnie. I think she needs prozac. She talks a lot to herself and suffers from anxiety. She doesn't lay any eggs. Her goal in life seems to be going to roost first. In the backgroung is Josephine(white), and Conager.

This is Ursula, unfortunately she is no longer with us. She is in the big chicken yard in the sky.

These three chickens are the best. Mrs. Chicken in the back, then Abigail, and Josephine. They are Americanas and lay green eggs. They are consistent layers.

There are two more Meg and Amy. They are white, but only Meg lays eggs. Amy just likes to sit in the laying boxes.
More later. Kelli

Ouch!

Look what our chicken laid! The small one was a Large egg! This really big one was a double yolk. We couldn't even close the lid on the egg carton.

5 Weeks Old

First of all I apologize for taking so long to get these pics up. I deleted my driver for the camera and had to find the disk. So here they are my little darlings at 5 weeks.

Ummm, Are you my mother?!
